But when the morning light crept into the room that I was sharing with you, the world returned to its spin and I lost you all over again. Why do we dream? What is my mind trying to tell me? You disappeared so suddenly. When I arrived you barely could breathe. My words were fallen trees and they’d taken you to the city. But this time you could hear me okay and we spoke as if nothing had changed. Had a chance to finally say goodbye but I didn’t even think to try. Why do we dream? What is my mind trying to tell me?
